[Leaning back and getting comfy as Five speaks his mind.]

[ he's quiet for a few moments at that, eyebrows furrowing as he thinks it over ]

Hades already mentioned how Vergil and I disappearing could influence their decisions, if we're Thancred's primary motivation. But I believe they'd operate under the assumption that I am still in Hell somewhere, and that we will find our way back. Which does mean if they don't keep the agreement we'd still have to kill them when the time comes.

What truly concerns me is what would happen if you were to disappear. Would they believe they're rid of you for good and decide to protect their world across every possible timeline?

That, and the rest of their companions. Noah already agreed to keeping to his timeline once, and that all went southways when Thancred appeared. Even should Thancred take a more active role in gaining the cooperation of his friends, it is not guaranteed he would manage. What of their Hero? If they find their way here, would they truly agree to this?

If they were logical creatures they should. But they're clearly not. And they're seeing timetravel the same way as they see actual murder.

[ a pause, and he sighs ]

I suppose ultimately I don't, no. But I'd like to.

[He listens quietly and looks out the window when Five is done. It really is a nice view, top floor and all. He leans his chin on his hand, and sighs.]

"I'd like to." Yes. I suppose that is the best we can hope for at this point. There is no possibility of ensuring they keep their word, nor even remember that they have given their word if we are not here to remind them.

Yet try we must.

I am sorry you have been caught in all this, but grateful as well. Though it seems I must pay more attention.

[He looks back at Five with a wry smile.]

You are even busier than I had thought.

"Yet try we must."

[He simply shrugs with a sigh.]

Of course he is. I have no doubts Five has already a half a dozen thoughts running into his head on how he can convince them to keep their word.

But I know it comes from the heart. And my thanks, as always, for trying.

I'm officially off vacation, so you can't scold me for that. Is it really surprising that I'm keeping busy? You're both just as bad with that.

Though this does remind me.

I distinctly recall we agreed to force Lahabrea on vacation once mine came to its conclusion.

Oh is that what prompted it?

Do be aware I consider you only got three days of your own vacation. I may concede you back to work but I consider you are still owed four days rest at some point.

The point was time off from one trauma and stress to the next, after all.

Don't worry, I have a few activities planned for our dear Speaker. As he is trying to deflect.

Though he is correct. Both of you could deal with some time without dealing with added stress.

But we can't pass by an opportunity such as this one so make the arrangements. We will meet the Scions and see what they have to say.

Getting the both of us to relax at the same time would be an incredible feat even for you Hades, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be able to handle that. Though I'm almost tempted to challenge you to try.

I promise I will at least keep it to a select few number of activities and plans, without going overboard.

I am not the one stressed, I assure you.

[He just sighs.]

Do not challenge him, he'll actually do it. He's remarkably resourceful. And much as it would be interesting to see what he comes up with he needs the rest himself.

[He just raises an eyebrow at Lahabrea.]

Truly? I was under the impression we were all a little overburdened for various reasons. Some more than others, but it adds up all the same.

But a problem for another time. I do believe the effects of the game have worn off for all of us. And Five, you might consider talking to your brother though I imagine you already had plans. I know I am relieved you have your fire back within you.

[ wow no don't turn it on him he was going to be cool and just say he'd leave them to each other ]

Why would I need to talk to Klaus? There's nothing to say.

As far as work goes I kept a busier schedule between the Akadaemia and Convocation. I never felt overworked then, I feel practically idle now.

[Is that a good argument or is it just he's always been like this?

He laces his fingers together and loops then over one knee, leaning back to look at Five.]

Did something happen?

He was obviously worried about you and games are new to him. You can at least assure him it has passed. And perhaps tell him without being a puddle upon the floor that it was sweet of him to try to find you in his memories.

He filmed me I'm pretty sure he was less worried and more having the time of his life. Look, I'm fine, he's fine, I don't need to address that or ... his memories.

Weren't we talking about you two?

[But he'll let Hades address the rest.]

Just talk to him. He will not reject you.

Or think if the positions were reversed. How would you feel if he thanked you for keeping him company and helping him at after a game?

I hate you both and I'm never speaking to you two when you're in the same room ever again.

[ he sighs ]

I'm not afraid he will reject me. If anything I'm more likely to say something unadvisable. But fine. I'll talk to him.

And I'm leaving you two alone to relax and take care of each other. As grateful as I am for the care and love you've shown me the past few days it's true you both have quite a lot on your plate right now, and I'd like you to focus on each other.

Consider it a personal request that I am sure you will find yourself inclined to accept given my irresistable charm.

[He laughs openly, just amused as hell.]

Ah, there's that charm.

However do not think you can escape just yet. Did you have more to discuss with him, Hades? I can give you some privacy. It is not as if I do not live here, I'll be easy to find when you're done.

Just one, but you don't need to leave for it.

[He leans over and kisses the top of Five's forehead.]

I am glad you are feeling better. Now, off you go. Us nigh immortals will find some way to pass the time without your ever energetic presence. Do not get lost on the way out.

[ oh no. How is he supposed to stay mad at that. there's a small smile and he reaches for Hades hand so he can bring it to his lips to kiss it, letting it go shortly after. ]

I'll inform you of any updates. I love you. Both of you, just, you know. In different ways.

[ didn't he just say he hates them? forget it!! And he will pat Lahabrea's shoulder on his way out and leave them alone ]

And I you, Five. You may come pick up the notes and arcane equations I've formulated tomorrow.

[Because today Five has enough with family and so on. He will smile as Five goes though, fond.]

Admit it.

[After Five has left, he moves couches so he can use Lahabrea's arm and shoulder as a back and headrest.]

He is going to hurt himself. Chasing after heartache as he is. Though only experience can teach him that.
