No. I apologize as well. I've more than earned the teasing. I am merely sensitive because worrying you truly shall always sit badly with me, I think. I do not enjoy having caused you stress. It makes me feel as if I have greatly failed you.

[He reaches over, tucking Emet's hair behind an ear.]

Since your arrival, you have done nothing but brighten my day even though I do fuss. You relieve me of stress, Lahabrea.

[Taking a moment to lean against his shoulder.]

Imagine how much of a mess I would be in were you not here to help me plan, to soothe me when the scions will not come to compromise, to know when I am weary and spend time with me as you are now.

You have not failed me. Quite the opposite.

[He sighs, returning the lean and reaching over to take Emet's hand, twine their fingers.]

And I would be insufferable without you.

Still, you will have to put up with the fact that I believe I am more shaken than I first thought. And I do dislike it. Ever and always have I relied on you, so I will assume you will manage to suffer through me doing so once more. As long as you continue to lean on me as well I will weather all complaints and teasing somehow. Perhaps grumpily.

You were untempered Lahabrea. The strain on your soul beyond compare. All considered, you are doing better than I imagined.

[He squeezes his fingers back.]

I will always lean on you. That was never in question. Besides sometimes as my complaining can be endearing, so can your grumpy behavior.

Why should I require time to recover when there are things to be doing?

[The exaggerated tone and extra grump do mean he's self aware. It is just the worst. Having emotions that require normal things like processing and whatnot. He grumbles and lifts their hands, kissing the back of Emet's.]

But as ever you are correct. I do appreciate your fuss, now and again.

[He does blush lightly at that and covers it up with a complaint.]

I do tend to need to be busy but I have been attempting to relax more. You make it seem effortless but in fact it is quite challenging.

[He does pat his arm before tucking in breakfast.]

Truthfully I have no doubts that you will take care of yourself now. Ever have you proven yourself. If you need to scheme more to busy your moments, by all means. As I said I might fuss, but I won't truly worry.

Ah but now it its a challenge. I am learning many new skills. And if I cannot leave hell with the ability to nap or lounge away half a century, am I even being productive?

[He's being ridiculous. And he does return to munching.]

Would you not be worried about missing out on a few things. A half demon with tail and wings --- who is still in trouble by the way --- for example.

Of course he is in trouble. But you are right, I would hardly wish to miss the mortal lifespan he might have.

[He picks up his plate when he's done and Lahabrea's if he's finished.]

[He cleans and puts the plates away before making a quick detour to his room to get sunglasses and an umbrella.]

[He will use it for evil. He does get up and go get ready himself, and as promised returns to the kitchen to make and pack them lunch.]

There is one thing I wished to do today, but I believe it can wait for the evening. Let us be off.

[He equips the mask as they head out the door.]

We can make a detour. I am in no rush.

[But he will make their general direction to that of the stables if there are no complaints. Probably a bit dismal without any horses about.]

[Horses :( well he follows along, and much as he'd like to offer to hold the umbrella he does refrain. Height difference strikes again.]

It can wait for later.

[Maybe though should have stopped by Lilis. And maybe he should have asked Hell to make him taller. Though Emet-Selch is unfairly tall.

He does close the umbrella when the get inside the stables as he starts walking to the back. And I suppose there is one horse though its metallic nature is apparent as he nudges Lahabrea forward.]

Musing aside he does pause in his steps, then picks up his steps considerably as he approaches the stall, opening the door immediately to check out this BEAUTY.]

The base of it was a helicopter, a rather curious airborne vehicle. It should be able to fly, but I would not consider it over long distances or with exceeding weight.

[Does the horse make helicopter noises.

Seriously though he is, well, absolutely enthralled with it.

And it does not escape him the time and trouble to make such a thoughtful gift. He does have to press his face to the metal neck a moment, overcome with a myriad of feelings, quiet for a while as he strokes the creature's neck.]

I suppose the best thing to do would be to try it out, wouldn't you say?

[If thou desires it, why not? Maybe a propeller comes out of its head. Who knows?]

I would recommend a solo test. As I said the original vehicle was made for one. Though now I do see my oversight in not getting a pair.

[He will come over and help him up on the horse.]

[He contemplates objecting if he can't have Emet-Selch ride with him! But on the other hand, just a short test? It would be rather ungracious to refuse to show his keen enthusiasm for the gift, so he takes the help up.]

In that case we may still purchase a more roomy mode of transport. I will leave that to your selection.

[He is urging the mechapony out of the stall to trot out into the open air.]

I am sure I could learn. It would not avail us this outing but it cannot be that different from any other vehicle.

Yes yes it is a nefarious and dastardly scheme. And I am most grateful for it.

[But he nudges the horse forward, into a little trot then canter, let's see how this baby flies!]
