[ Sorry Emet, plans were MADE. But as promised, he will manage to actually make his way up to the balcony and be there at around eleven, and he's showing up with bags from the shop ]
I wanted to test if I actually could use Common Law this if I ever do actually need to come here with no sufficient warning beforehand. I figured it was better to do that while you were aware of it just in case.
[ a pause, and then he adds ]
And in case you're worried, you can relax. I'm fine and tonight is simply about enjoying each other's company.
Well, unhinged or not it seemed fair enough to me. He was talking about something deeper than a physical wound, after all.
I've been managing. I won't deny I keep having doubts and worries, but I'm pushing past them, and trying to think of what I can actually do and change.
[ he stops walking once they are in front of his room's door ]
But tonight we both did want to focus on you. This is as much warning as you're going to get.
[Hi I'm here I live here this is my room--look it might as well be his room, at this point. He's occupied it. He lives here. Home is where the Emet-Selch is.
He's tied some of the books and set up a small tray of fruit and cheese, just things for finger snacking really.]
[ maybe he was just looking for an excuse to be affectionate without feeling stupid afterwards. Which is exactly why he takes Emet's hands and then leads him to the bed ]
Sit down.
I see Lahabrea took care of healthy snacks, but I've brought some from the conbini as well. Mostly chips and other things I have no idea what they're supposed to be and figured we could either try or leave to Crown.
He sits in Lahabrea's lap. And not in the 'this is cute' way, but more 'I know if I stay here long enough you'll lose circulation and complain loudly' way. And of course, he also motions for Five to sit on his own lap just to dogpile of Lahabrea further. He might be testing loyalties just a little.
He also picks up Lahabrea's health journal and flips through it.]
Of course he did. He can't help himself. Though that only makes him more endearing.
Ah, your childhood treat. It sounds terrible, but ever will I be adventurous.
[But very well, if his legs must be sacrificed to the greater cause or whatever, we're doing this. With the most stoic expression he reaches up and snags a lock of Emet-Selch's hair to start weaving a small braid into it like he's not being personally squashed, simply listening to the conversation.]
[ Well okay this is already FIRST OBSTACLE and he looks uncertain. But now it feels like it's a competition with three people and he still doesn't want to lose, so. He's going to actually sit on Emet's lap so enjoy that, Lahabrea ]
Do I need to use common law to make this easier, or is the point just torturing him?
As for my childhood treat, it's not as bad as it sounds. But I did feel like sharing something that was dear to me.
Using common law feels akin to cheating. I have high confidence we can do just as much damage without.
[You chose correctly, sir! He puts an arm around Five more to steady him than anything.]
Well, then I would be delighted! When you get up. of course. Though that might be a while.
[He actually tilts his head so Lahabrea has better access. He probably had his hair long at some point considering Varis' and Zenos' flowing locks. Also, Lahabrea and small braids. They are a thing.]
[He does grunt as Five joins Emet-Selch. He can tolerate this for a little while, finishing off the first small braid and moving on to another. He will get as far as he can before his legs go numb at least.]
If I lose my life to this I am haunting you specifically Emet-Selch.
[ This is definitely more overwhelming than he anticipated but he has no intention of giving up or stopping, so he stays right where he is, but doesn't otherwise do anything yet ]
Is braiding each other's hair what you get up to in here?
Good. If your soul is nearby, I'm sure I could win the Producers over to shove it into another vessel. Which one would you like this time? Ah, just none of the Galvus line. I'm afraid I couldn't stand the sight of you for long periods of time.
[He leans into speak to Five as if sharing a quiet secret, but Lahabrea can hear it now problem. Also, at least his hair will be nice and wavy when he takes the braids out. And sorry Five. This is part of the lot you've fallen in with.]
You mean you didn't plan this part out before? Perhaps he is ill.
Yes. I do seem to have contracted something terminal. Feelings. Please end me before they do.
[A new braid starts.]
We don't do this usually, he's being insufferable because he can. The only way to counter him is to somehow grow more shameless than he is. Good luck with that.
Re: 249 afternoon
[Actually he doesn't. This is getting concerning.]
Emet-Selch: Do you request I tell my roommate to find his own space?
Re: 249 afternoon
Valour 5: I suppose I can tell you this much at least
Valour 5: I will be seeing you later
Valour 5: 🙂
Re: 249 afternoon
Emet-Selch: I believe that is the improper way to use that emoji, but I will wait for your visit.
249 night
Re: 249 night
I don't see why you can't just use the door.
Re: 249 night
[ a pause, and then he adds ]
And in case you're worried, you can relax. I'm fine and tonight is simply about enjoying each other's company.
Re: 249 night
[He was not worried! Okay, he was a little. He holds out a hand to offer help carrying any of the bags.]
With Lahabrea involved it is never 'simple'.
Re: 249 night
We had a nice heart-to-heart in which he threatened to destroy my mind and spirit if I ever hurt you. We're good.
[ patting his back lightly, and then just heading inside because he knows the way by now ]
Re: 249 night
Still fiery and passionate as always, I see. Perhaps still a bit unhinged, but we are working on that with him.
[And following.]
Are you feeling better?
Re: 249 night

Re: 249 night
Any reason? Honestly I've been more content than I have been in a while.
[He opens the door for him.]
Re: 249 night

There you are.
Re: 249 night
[ He walks inside and puts down the bags he brought over to the table, careful not to knock anything over.
He then gestures to Lahabrea ]
He started it so you can blame him. Good evening, by the way.
Re: 249 night
[He really can't help but laugh as he helps put the bags down. He looks at Lahabrea.]
You really ought to know better.
[Then he looks at Five.]
I did say find that which to occupy your mind. I suppose I can't complain that you did as asked.
Re: 249 night
It motivates him. I'm content enough just to bully you.
[He sits on the bed comfortable, after snagging himself some grapes.]
It's good that you can't complain. Because it wouldn't help you in any case.
Re: 249 night
Sit down.
I see Lahabrea took care of healthy snacks, but I've brought some from the conbini as well. Mostly chips and other things I have no idea what they're supposed to be and figured we could either try or leave to Crown.
I did also bring marshmallows and peanut butter.
