[ It seems he said the MAGIC WORDS because "lahabrea has been writing over my notes" is all he needs to hear before he's hopping down the bed again and just going to look around Emet's room for them, 100% acting as if this is his room now. Once he found them, he'll come back on the bed and sit down again, appreciating that he's being given room to stay comfortable ]
I suppose I could invest in a bigger room as well, for the rare times I invite you over instead.
[Why can't they all do what they enjoy? Lahabrea and Five reading/studying. Emet napping. Seems like a win-win for everyone.]
If you are going to upgrade your room, get those fancy devices that allow you to change the light setting with your voice.
[That might only be a FiN thing, but one can dream. Speaking of he turns off any overhead lights and turns on a few lamps. He probably didn't have those until Lahabrea showed up. And of course he wired his room to be able to do this without getting up.]
[ wow now he's the one being double teamed this was not expected. and since lahabrea is already pretty much calling out why he just has no argument to make, unfair ]
The room is functional as it is, and making it larger would make it perfectly comfortable. But fine, I get it. I'll at least try to make some improvements.
No, that would defeat the purpose. I did get it for self defense.
[ he's strongly considering whether he wants to give it or not, but in the end, there's not much of a point in having it on his person when he's with people he trusts. So eventually he's going to hand the knife to Emet.
[He was not expecting the gun. Foolish of him, really.]
Well, you certainly don't need them here. You have your abilities if nothing else.
[He puts them on the bedside table because 1) he has long enough arms to do it without moving, and 2) they are still within Five's reach because obviously they are some type of security blanket.]
Yes, it could happen, rare as it might be. But you need to actually relax at some point. In a game they would probably be useless and should you reach an untimely demise, well, I will bring you coffee and flowers upon your revival and lament how you were sorely missed.
Regardless, if they give you comfort they're in range, but having them on you seems rather difficult to get comfortably with. And you'll just make fret insufferably so it's good you conceded.

Re: 249 night
[He's been in Taisho rooms, they're nice enough.]
Re: 249 night
Re: 249 night
Just don't go as gaudy as your house.
[Go as gaudy as the Hargreeve mansion.]
Re: 249 night
A comfortable study? Personally I'm planning on a laboratory.
Re: 249 night
I'll think of something - the idea was just to have a larger space, not to make it a better place to live in.

Re: 249 night
[Sitting up from Lahabrea a moment to lean over and kiss Five's forehead, 100% trying to annoy him. He's being an ass so much that he laughs.]
Is there where you threaten where you've brought a knife to bed?

Re: 249 night
I did bring a knife to bed, so I wouldn't push my limits if I were you.

Fine.

Re: 249 night
We could be called to a game at any point, keeping them on your person is just sensible.
But I suppose I can at least put them aside for now.
Re: 249 night
Do not attempt to pin this on me.
[He gives Five a look. Sorry, buddy.]

Re: 249 night
[He's being cheeky and relents though resting against Lahabrea again.]
That besides, if I can get this old man to finally relax, getting the lot of you to do the same should be easy.
Re: 249 night
[Just so we're clear!! He does pet Emet's hair.]
Re: 249 night
[ and he's going to make a dramatic show of opening his notes so he can start reading what Lahabrea wrote on them ]
