In his memories actually. Though I know being trapped in his current form makes him feel out of place at sorts.
[He gives him a bow after he changes.]
With that I do hope you feel more comfortable. And if you are offering, I would like to inspect if further. Though this is only a reflection and I can only approximate a best guess compared to the waking world.
[He hands the Yamato over then. It's the souls embedded inside that power Devil Arms, and special abilities tend to have to do with what skills those demons had themselves, if he's able to see any such things in them.]
[He runs a hand across underneath the blade as he holds it horizontal. He can't see more than the colors of those souls weaved into it. If Vergil wasn't standing in front of him, he'd actually probably miss that a small shard of his own soul was in the weapon.]
I can tell you outside of your own there is another strong color and various less intense ones. I imagine your father's soul is in here as one of them. Any guesses on who the rest are?
[Now that his face doesn't move, he doesn't have to worry about self-consciousness for too much emotion. But his silence is also probably telling in and of itself. He'd like to think a part of his father is there, with him.]
Not a clue. I don't recall much more about it, unfortunately.
Something like that. I don't mind being dressed as human, but... I'm sure you've noticed by now, being what I'm meant to be is my main concern, whatever that may mean in any given context.
[He follows gladly really, he wouldn't have asked but he'd certainly like to explore the city.]
Seems like you can shed and wear the disguise at your leisure normally. Though with only a few memories. 'Tis truly hard to say.
Meant to be? Or just being comfortable in your own natural skin?
[He is teasing mostly.
It's peaceful here. Eerily and almost unnaturally so. There are many tall buildings with lamp post to light the way. The shades give them no mind when they walk by but he will hear them speak of either the pending 'doom' or are scholarly debating one topic or another.]
You know, I think we have finally found the person that could listen to the Speaker's lectures upon lectures with actual interest. How lucky he is to have you. He's still a fool though. I must disappoint.
[A pause then more sincere.]
Though truly I am glad he is attempting to open up even just a little. A heavy heart he has carried, but yet a fiery passion remains. And I do believe the same goes in reverse. He would not pretend you are something that you are not, a brutal and logical honesty.
[He would listen to the lectures all day, it's true. He's a nerd.]
He certainly won't even think of allowing me to think something about myself that he doesn't believe to he true. ...I'm...glad for it too. That he's telling me of himself. I hope that I can...offer him what he does for me.
Compared to myself and Five, the two of you are more difficult to crack. And you've already made progress.
[Patting his shoulder.]
He dropped his guise with you without prompt. Trusts you with his lectures. Do not doubt, you are making progress though he is difficult. 'Tis been a long time since he has had the luxury of caring.
I don't doubt that, and I'm not worried about rushing anything. As you can see, I understand it well myself. Although I would disagree about yourself and Five, you're plenty hard to crack too.
A thousand thousand lifetimes worth actually. Though it is very hard to judge. I've opened my heart to only have returned with suspicion and doubt. Perhaps I'm just becoming shy.
What, putting your world back together? I guess that's valid, given how it's done. Not that I was told outright, but again, I can read between the lines. The people living on those worlds must not think too kindly of you.
Though I do not wish to delve in it further if Lahabrea has not told you more. However, if he does not wish to explain it, I can. Ever was he long winded about such topics.
[He hasn't even seen Emet-Selch get long winded yet and yet he's sure he must be......]
Right. I'll certainly ask another time if he gives the go ahead. I don't expect to get all my gossip from him directly, but, well I guess I'd better ask in the morning how much he's comfortable with.
[He gives a sound of thoughtful agreement at that.]
I suppose I should be clear. I have mentioned it, but in vague terms. I do give you my approval though it hardly needed. I'm sure Lahabrea would lecture me for being a busybody if he heard. Nor does he need my protection except from his own overworking mind.
But he is one of my last remaining brethren, and I lost him once already when I was away. I will be more attentive this time around.

Are you more comfortable?

Re: 248 night
[If his mouth moved he'd be casting a sidelong smirk in Emet-Selch's direction. What a cheeky man.]
I take it these would be your natural form?
Re: 248 night
[If one were to idealize them and look through rose color glasses. They were not nearly uniform.]
More or less. I would almost be inclined to show you, but I'll wait for Lahabrea to spend more time with you.
Re: 248 night
It will give me something to look forward to another time. Giving everything away at once wouldn't be much fun anyway.
[He does look a bit closer at them though, just for an idea besides the height.]
Re: 248 night
[They all are absolutely featureless. Same white mask on everyone's phase. They also talk like this though somehow he understands it perfectly.]
Don't let him bore you. Brilliant as he is, he can get terribly stuffy.
Re: 248 night
Do I seem like someone who minds stuffy? I'm glad to find he isn't such a fool after all.

Re: 248 night
Am I? I always thought I was quite truthful except for joining in Lahabrea's farce.
