[He laughs and does sit up abruptly spraying sand all over and also using BARiTONES ability to reflect, well sand in this case, so they hover for a moment unnaturally until they succumb to gravity.

He picks up a bucket and fills it with sea water before returning back the spot of his former sand prison.]

And what do you hope for? A tale where the seas spill red with blood?

[He dumbs the contents of the bucket in the depression, a brilliant crimson, that spread out across the sand. Wine actually. Wouldn't recommend drinking it.]

You know, I never could read that book cover to cover. I got bored halfway through.

I suppose I am still missing a few of BARiTONES abilities. Though I don't think they are suited well to the stage either.

...You know, I wouldn't be surprised if Dad made us learn random shit like that. But also, I wouldn't be surprised if I'd forgotten all of it! Especially since, you know, drink and drugs, etcetera etcetera, brain frying.

How ironic to say this to amnesiac, ...

... have you ever had a memory that you can never forget, but you suppress for the weight of it? The game sought fit to allow me to relive it in catches and moments. I hardly can tell what is real or not sometimes.

Which is why I asked if you were suffering from something similar.

I think if we were home it'd be worse. Like--just from my memories of it. Cause I already can't always tell if people are dead or alive, and then--like. What's a hallucination because of what I've taken and what isn't? So that, plus my dreams are usually some weird-ass combination of my memories... I get the feeling that if I was home, I could probably easily just walk into traffic or off a building without realizing it.

Lucky I haven't, actually.

But, uh. Did you...wanna talk about it? Is that why you said sound is good? Probably cause I've never shown up in those memories of yours, hm?

Is there a particular sensation that makes the memories take over. For Five it has been smell, especially that of ash and fire.

Mine is sound. The closest I can equate it to is the breaking of glass. For it is the sound of shattering souls that does rattle within.

Not the most pleasant topic.
