He'll be alright. He has many to support him. To tell him they are proud of him and he is loved for who he is and not his abilities.

It will not undo the damage, but it might make it more bearable.

On one hand, that's great? On the other hand, he's kinda got a big head already--except for the bits that think he's never good enough.

Is not his ego part of his way of coping. Just as your carefree attitude is. And Luther's loyalty.

Though I imagine even without he'd 'have a big head', but I think it is rather charming.

Yet you both love each other. We need not be the same to appreciate each other.

Well if my fictional other self had not seen some events, I would not desire to enlighten them. So perhaps you are right.
