[In the end he will get him a BARiTONES colored scarf and probably a smaller one for the firebird, too. And he'll take him to the cafe area to get him a drink of his choice.]

[both of them get artfully draped over and wound around the firebird. probably not what Alexander was aiming for with the larger scarf, but.

also the drink he picks is something tropical fruity but hopefully not with any added sugar besides what's in the fruit. but now Alexander knows at least a little more of Persephone's tastes- tropical fruit.]

[He will keep that in mind.]

Then to the harbor. It is a long ride.

[Well he'll take him on the subway which is probably exciting! He gets him a good seat to watch the stations and advertisements go by.]

[Holds out his hand.]

[takes his hand, holding onto his be-scarfed firebird with his other arm.]

[He takes him to the front of the train. It seems to run itself, but it is definitely an interesting view.]

[definitely taking a close look, eyes wide. does hold up the firebird so it can look, too.]

[He picks him up gently so he can see better.]

[oh. going to look at it better, then. and gets a better grip on the firebird, tooo.]

[Persephone, you are too adorable.

He will carry him until they reach their stop to which he'll put him down and hold out his hand again.]

This is our stop.

[just don't think about this cute child growing up into Persephone and the sadness that had to happen to make it be. or maybe do, who knows. and will adjust the firebird in his other arm before he takes his hand.]

[Mortals are cruel, cruel creatures. Of that he has learned. Though pot, kettle.

It isn't really a beach. More of water finally reaching up to a concrete wall, but there is a bench, some grass, and a little scenic spot for him to enjoy. He let's go of his hand once they get close.]

[going to take the firebird to go look over the wall with him, carefully.]

[It's only a foot or two high. A break in the tides. Below the bay laps against it. It smells like the sea and sounds like it. Quiet and soothing.]
