[ no he doesn't when it comes to emet, he knows that. But he'll set the flowers aside and then reach for the notebook, leaning in to kiss emet's cheek after ]
A challenge I’m actually willing to accept. I can avoid bending to your whims.
[Though he melts at the kiss. As if he isn’t the same. How does he desire to please him despite his words.]
[Five will have seen this notebook before. It has notes from their earlier attempts though the pages have been filled after. One particular page has been tabbed of their exercise with moving parts of the tower. A lot of erasure marks, crossed out lines, and notes dot the equations of which some are conversions of arcane to math while others are pure, raw mathematical equations mimicking Five’s abilities. Further on are a few scribbled high level notes about arcane time travel.]
[He sits behind him wrapping his arms around his waist with his chin resting on his shoulder. Though despite his relaxed posture he is giving the writing his complete attention.
He does point at some of the symbols asking for their meaning.]
I wonder if I should shift my focus. Instead of mimicking your abilities I should study how to augment them. The plan is to return to your star first provided a method is found to return to our own.
[ He's completely relaxed in his arms and in fact, absolutely loving the contact. It's really only with Lahabrea dn Emet that he enjoys studying with others, and he knows it's in large part because he respects them so. But as odd as it is to find this intimate, well. He does, and he likes that ]
Mimicking was a good first step to learn. But I do think you're beyond that now and yes, you should study how to improve on what you've learn. Make it your own and experiment.
[If only he could have this man relaxed and pliant in his arms for all eternity. He’s still quite skeptical over the last memory but sees no reason to voice it. He’s not the one driving hope after all.]
I will consider it. I also need to study Vergil’s blade more. Your ideal illusion did have merit investigating this avenue so. And he will want to stay with his loved ones for a time as well.
I do wonder if my powers alone would be enough to travel across worlds. Theoretically with the right augmentation and something to prevent me from depleting my stamina I could go anywhere.
It never hurts to have a few backup plans besides. But perhaps next time we study, we should try this augmentation. It is an avenue worth investigating.
[ he'd be cheeky and say he didn't say he was going to keep him awake with anything else, but then Emet is kissing him and, well. Of course he's kissing him back immediately, squeezing his hand as he does.
It's a little heated, despite his claims about cuddling, and when he does pull back he nibbles on his lip ]
Are you not sated enough with your other partners?
[His fingers find the hem of his clothes and he brushes them up across his stomach as he sucks rather harshly on the juncture of his neck and shoulder.]
[ he arches his back at that, breath hitching as he tangles his fingers into his hair, pulling on it a little but not trying to force him away ]
If you want me to stroke your ego I'll be very ungentlemanly and confirm that yes, you are my favourite and no other partner can even come close to how much I want you.
I have no jealousy. No worry that you do not desire me. And I am glad you are finding others because I cannot give to you each and every experience you do truly deserve.
[He sits worries the mark more before lifting his head and sitting up letting his thumb dance across his bottom lip.]
And why do I have the feeling you'd like it rough today...
[ the smirk on his face and the glint in his eyes is probably confirmation enough that he's right, but he takes his finger in his lips, biting lightly before he begins to suck on it, his eyes focused on Emet the entire time ]

Let's see who lasts longer.

How have your arcane studies been progressing?
Re: Day 363
—Slower than I'd like, but to be fair anything above 1 month is slower than I'd like.
They're progressing, but my skills are still mediocre at best.
[ a pause, then he traces his finger along some parts of the notebook, tapping on it after ]
Unlike you. You've made quite a lot of improvements on your earlier equations.
Re: Day 363
[He hands him a pen.]
But don’t think I didn’t see that gleam in your eyes. I’m sure you can improve upon it.
Re: Day 363
Maybe.
[ and he'll cross the part he tapped on just earlier, starting to scribble some mathematical equations over it ]
This should help with accuracy and take care of potential variables. But it does still need to be translated into arcane.

Here's your homework then. Come up with a theory and formula.
Re: Day 363
Don't I get to hear your thoughts and ideas on it first?
Re: Day 363
Re: Day 363
Very well, but you'd best not disappoint either.
[He says as he kisses the top of his head. He just tosses the notebook on the bed.]
Should I fall asleep feel free to peruse it at your leisure.
Re: Day 363
Re: Day 363
You wouldn't?
Re: Day 363
On the other.
You look beautiful when you look at me like that too.
Re: Day 363
[He tilts his head up and kisses him deeply.]

We could still cuddle.
