He passed with flying colors might I add.

I've no doubt he did. But what caused you to realize his distress?

The almost sobbing might have given it away.

As I said, it affects him more than I realized.

I do assume all is well at least. But what do you wish to do about it? We have not the means of seeing to whatever was done to him here, without relying on powers I would rather not turn to if we can help it.

I agree there is not much to be done but be aware of it. And that it shames him more than he would like.

But being close to him yourself I though it would be best you were aware. Not the most thrilling gossip though I could divulge that as well.

It is important. I assume you soothed him as only you are able, but it is good to be aware. I would sooner not hurt him.

He would have had a burning curiosity if not told. There was no good answer. At least this way he's a better chance of understanding.
