I cannot speak for your pains. But I do find myself feeling blessed lately.

And to think how little to nothing I had to pay. To watch myself heal. For you. Our pains are far from fled, but there is much to look forward to.

[He squeezes Emet's fingers.]

I've no intention of losing myself again. In any sense.

You would be far too sad about it, for one thing. And who would look after you? Five, perhaps. But I'm not ready to leave you in another's care so easily just yet.

If you need to express such emotions, far it be it from me to tell you not to. You simply tend to find solutions and have other tactics for manipulation you bring to bear.

I admire you, Lahabrea. That was never in question. Though your methods do differ from my own.

We both have our strengths. I could never be as good at building up others in the subtle ways you do.

We are simply proof that different we may be, harmony is always possible. I wonder if any other society would reach such peeks.

I have my doubts that mortals can truly achieve it.

As do I. Their short lives do spur them to leave their mark in both good ways and bad.

I concede that some metals are extraordinary. But it is the rest that hold them back from achieving anything. Energy if they do succeed in greatness, it only takes a handful of centuries for the details to be forgotten and mythologized.

As far as I can discern this holds across all mortal worlds.

Some have terrible gods that hardly do them any favors.

I would say that would be most, from observation.

I would require you to get more followers. Simple as that.

But it feels more intimate with just us. Close as we have all become.

Indeed. It is... nice this way. Though there is less that we can cover, a scant handful as we are.
