[ By the time he's back he'll find him having taken a potion because, after all, he's committed to being the big spoon. He pretty much beams when he sees the boquet and Hades bowing for him, smiling as he takes the flowers and then grabbing on his tie to pull him into a kiss ]

For example rather than having you laze about my bed I could give you homework and reward you with a kiss anytime you perform well.

[Five will have seen this notebook before. It has notes from their earlier attempts though the pages have been filled after. One particular page has been tabbed of their exercise with moving parts of the tower. A lot of erasure marks, crossed out lines, and notes dot the equations of which some are conversions of arcane to math while others are pure, raw mathematical equations mimicking Five’s abilities. Further on are a few scribbled high level notes about arcane time travel.]

How have your arcane studies been progressing?

[ he's focusing on examining the notebook so it takes him a few moments before he acknowledge Emet's words, lost as he is in the whole thing ]

They're progressing, but my skills are still mediocre at best.

This should help with accuracy and take care of potential variables. But it does still need to be translated into arcane.

[He sits behind him wrapping his arms around his waist with his chin resting on his shoulder. Though despite his relaxed posture he is giving the writing his complete attention.

I wonder if I should shift my focus. Instead of mimicking your abilities I should study how to augment them. The plan is to return to your star first provided a method is found to return to our own.

[ He's completely relaxed in his arms and in fact, absolutely loving the contact. It's really only with Lahabrea dn Emet that he enjoys studying with others, and he knows it's in large part because he respects them so. But as odd as it is to find this intimate, well. He does, and he likes that ]

Mimicking was a good first step to learn. But I do think you're beyond that now and yes, you should study how to improve on what you've learn. Make it your own and experiment.

I will consider it. I also need to study Vergil’s blade more. Your ideal illusion did have merit investigating this avenue so. And he will want to stay with his loved ones for a time as well.

I do wonder if my powers alone would be enough to travel across worlds. Theoretically with the right augmentation and something to prevent me from depleting my stamina I could go anywhere.

It never hurts to have a few backup plans besides. But perhaps next time we study, we should try this augmentation. It is an avenue worth investigating.

[ there's a pause and then he turns just enough to place a soft kiss on his cheek, handing him the notebook after ]
