I suppose it does count, since I don't strictly have any use for it, and I'm still interested in learning. A non-work related study session might be nice, from time to time.

Apparently there's massage chairs and rock salt saunas. There are also carnival games, but I'm skipping those.

Not particularly, doing nothing here or doing nothing there makes no difference, we're still not being productive, and at least the view is nice here.

Well, it would likely be more interesting than me telling you about their composition, and we have time.

[He weaves tales of times nearly forgotten. Some are stories about the stars themselves, but most are of those he cares for from Amaurot with the night sky being a major theme. He does go out of his way to recall stories with Lahabrea so that Five might get a better glimpse at what he was before ... well everything happened.]

[ These soft sad old men are going to be the death of him. It's not surprising, really, to know they were different before. Not just Lahabrea - the both of them. Emet-Selch might have a easier time displaying his emotions and being in tune with them, but it's not like he can't understand he had to change and adapt to face the hardships that the Final Days brought on his world, even before the Sundering.

He doesn't think either of them will ever be able to go back to how they were before - he knows that's the same for him, too. But knowing of a time when they were truly happy, well. That's something, isn't it.

As he Emet-Selch weaves his tales he's going to comment from time to time, showing actual interest in each story. He'll even close what little distance there was between them, just resting fully against him and enjoying the physical closeness. ]

He seems like an interesting man. Not that I ever had any doubts.

And I suppose now I have one tale to share about the night's sky as well. I can talk about tonight.

[He rests his head against Five's at some point during the conversation. And aren't they all just sad old men?]

Careful. You'll get back to your family, and they'll wonder what stranger has shown up in their midst. At least for a moment once your own peculiarities shine through.

I can already imagine them giving me a look the moment I try to say anything remotely supportive. I still get those here, once in a while.

You only have yourself to blame for playing up how collected and distant you were. Though our friendship aside, much has still changed for you.

I did intend on keeping myself collected and distant, I blame you and the rest of Baritones. I'm sure I would have made it just fine if it had been only Taisho.

But now you can rub off on dear Vergil. I daresay I hope he and Lahabrea become true friends whenever the old man decides to shed his mask.

That would be ideal. I do feel as though that'd be a good match — they'd be able to keep each other company well enough. I do feel as though Vergil has a better sense of humor though - maybe he'll teach Lahabrea how to take a joke.

We can only pray. I also don't believe Vergil will take it too hard to know he's been using a fake personality. But stating things plainly was never Lahabrea's strong suit.

Well, he might object to it if he gets attached to "Cosmo". Though speaking of attachment.

Do you have any plans for Noah yet? You realize if the truth ever comes to light he's not going to offer any assistance any longer.

This is his test. To see if he actually means what he says. Besides, he knows 'Thancred better than I. 'Tis not my fault if he can't tell the difference.

And Lahabrea needs to be convince himself on such a decision. It is not for me to dictate.

So long as you're aware of the potential consequences. The easy solution is to both make sure the truth doesn't come to light, and take full advantage of his cooperation while possible.

With any luck he won't find out before you graduate.

I don't bet on luck. I have no doubts he will puzzle it out.

But if he can't even handle this, how will he manage to give up an entire timeline. There is no guarantee he will be the victor if we come to blows again.

[Also spite. Still a lot of spite.]

He might just decide he doesn't care enough and simply make it harder for you out of spite.

Though admittedly I'm not sure if that would be in his nature to do.

If that does happen, then he is as short sighted and foolish as I have claimed he is.

I do not have high hopes for him truthfully. But we'll see what happens.

Well. It's true that his assistance is preferred, and not a necessity, thoug his graduation is still a worry.

Regardless - I believe this does fall under scheming, so I'll drop the matter.

Bringing it up is appreciated. It is something I will give thought to. And it does warrant thought. But yes, we can discuss it another time unless it's attention is needed in more earnest.

I suppose Lahabrea does have a grudge. I should do more to temper that. Though I cannot blame him. I would feel the same.

You were enemies and he's partially responsible for your death, so. You're right that it's understandable.

I do hope he won't let his feelings blind him, however.
