Poetry? I would enjoy it, but I was quite sure that wasn't in your interests. Besides, you have enough to use against me already.

It isn't, and honestly the best you could expect from me is something along the lines "Roses are red, violets are blue." Nothing further than that.

I do think telling you how much I love you would be far more effective. Perhaps listing all the reasons I do. How you've managed to warm my heart and capture it so thoroughly I refuse to live a life you won't be a part of.

Imagine my moment of brilliance when I realized not all upgrades needed to be in BARiTONES. Once I found a suitable partner in crime on your unit of course.

[ He's honestly surprised because yes, he'd also just been used to having all upgrades in Baritones. And honestly he's already touched just at the knowledge that Emet would do that, that Vergil and Lahabrea would help with that. ]

But he didn't and so he's left speechless as he opens up the door, as he takes the first few steps and takes the time to look at each detail.

I was bound by the constraints that are Taisho aesthetic, but all things considered I think it turned out rather well.

[He picks up him despite Five being taller than normal and starts to head towards the pier.]

And at the very least I hope if you rest here, nightmares will have more trouble taking hold. Not that I'm leaving your dreams to yourself.

[ he'll wrap both arms around his neck and even his legs around his waist as Emet picks him up, perfectly content with it this time around, and so clearly happy ]

I would rid you of your obstacles if I could, your adversaries, so that you could simply focus on flourishing. But I do not have the luxury to do so.

So the least I can do is to create moments like this. Where the weight of all you must do is put aside to be picked up again.

And your sentiment goes both ways. My life has become 'lighter' since you've become entangled in it. A gift I can never repay, but you would look at me so if I tried.

More proof that shouldering all on one's own is difficult if not near impossible. Not that we had options in the way of allies before.

I did listen. Even when I was half drunk coming to Baritones to propose an unlikely alliance and you asked to leave once I was done with business. I'll have to give myself a pat on the back for that.

And you did, when it was important, and didn't when I needed you to push past my barriers. For all that you're praising me for, we would not have gotten to this point if you didn't tear them down.
