Ah, your boldness. I am still charmed by that. Though I will admit I wouldn't understand the significance until later.

I will admit I mostly approached you the first time after your memories because of your abilities. To learn them would greatly increase my chances of succeeding seeing as my adversaries have already learned to tame time. I would need equal footing.

But when I looked upon your shattered star, I couldn't help but feel devastated. Though I hardly knew you... No star should suffer such a fate.

That was the original arrangement, wasn't it. To provide tools to one another.

[ There's a lot he wants to tell him. He wants to reassure him that it will be all right, that his friend will not hate him, that they will find each other again. But he decides not to bring the topic back to something unpleasant, and instead squeezes is hand, content to just stay in his company ]

[Then he, like the old man he claims to be, will curl around him and eventually the sound of the water, still as it is, will put him to sleep.

Unless Five has a reason to keep him awake.]
