It depends on the goal for the courtship. Are you looking for a partner to which to spend your time? Or are you looking for an alliance toward a shared goal.

Then take her out on an experience. If guns is in that list, I imagine a spot of adventure or daring is what they would enjoy.

Rather than limit yourself to the waking world, I would use dreams to set the perfect stage.

It's—I'm not entirely certain. I told someone that I would be courting her, so I thought perhaps my demonstrations should be romantic, though she is not a romantic interest, that's all.

Listen.

Truly listen to not only their words, but their tone and language. From there much will be revealed. And from there you can start building the relationship. Most people cannot help but talk of themselves especially when prompted with interest.
