[He will stay there for many minutes, completely content. Forgetting all that lies ahead, all the obstacles, and just to feel Five with him.

How he wants to share these moment with him in Amaurot. In Five's world. He can almost imagine it coming true. A not so far fetched dream that will bring water to his eyes, but not enough to draw tears.

And after the minutes and the haze of it all --- such a glorious gift --- begins to fade, he will sit up turning so he can look at him quite fondly.]

[ It's incredibly nice to just enjoy each other's company like that. The plans and scheming have always been exciting, and he'd always thought it'd suit him more — after all, he's someone who needs to stay on the move.

But he's finding that it feels nice to take a break with emet. To just do nothing but bask in his presence, feel his warmth and simply stay with him. It brings him peace in a way he never imagined possible.

And when Emet moves and looks at him, he's confused for a moment, but then it clicks ]

—Has it passed?

It is fading.

[He cuddles up to him tucking his head under his chin still letting Five be the dominant spoon.]

But you always make everything seem within reach. I don't know how you do it.

[ thank u emet he's very determined to be the big spoon here. He'll pull him close at that and let out a little laugh at the comment ]

Well, I do have quite the experience at reaching for the impossible. After a while I guess it becomes second-nature.

... It suits you, you know. Happiness.

You do always chide yourself at only giving yourself a handful of days to stop the apocalypse, but truthfully considering the jump it's amazing you even got that close at all.

So yes, perhaps both reaching and achieving.

[He kisses his shoulder.]

Does it? I was quite surely back then. More common a scowl than a smile. I still am. You just waltz right through it.

I'll consider it another achievement, then.

[ he brings his hand to the back of emet's head, petting his hair ]

[He 'hrmphs' once for good measure. Someone probably should teach him ba-humbug for the holidays.

But he does squeeze him tighter trying to bask in his warmth.]

You best have not any other plans today. I'm keeping you right here for myself even if you do get bored.

Well, if I do get bored, then make sure to entertain me. I do still have a language to learn.

Though I find it difficult to imagine I would, when I have the most beautiful man I've ever had the pleasure to lay my eyes upon staying right here in my arms, and asking me to keep him company.

[ he manages to say it all with a straight face, and without blushing, but definitely expecting that to be a critical hit ]

[It absolutely is and he punches him in the shoulder weekly, hiding his face as if that would do anything for the blush.

So he retorts with the wittiest comeback.]

Shush. Don't think I won't embarrass you in front of Taisho.

[ he's so clearly satisfied with the reaction, and he smirks, smug as always ]

That wouldn't be wise, Shu would give you a monologue and nobody wants that.

Not if I scandalize him first with enough time to escape and never step foot back in.

[Grade A plan. Flawless. Without fault.

Though he does eventually lift his head to kiss him, deep and possessive. A small way of saying thanks for the complement earlier.]

[ Oh. That wasn't expected or the goal, but he's certainly not complaining. There's a pleased sigh against his lips, and his hand moves down his back, fingers tracing idly over it as he kisses him back with just as much heat.

He really can't get enough of him either ]

[He is smirking as gives his lips a quick peck after the kiss.

He ponders for a moment as he settles back down in his arms.]

We could combine the two. A reward for everything I get right.

You won't have these sharp teeth and the ability to turn into a bat forever, thus I feel we should utilize them. And what do desire to use your limited gift for?

[ his eyes are immediately drawn to Emet's lips at that, and he hums, thinking about the question ]

I doubt my ability to turn into a bat will come in play here, but perhaps we can put my fangs to good use. Do you have any plans for them?

My creativity does happen mostly on the spur of the moment.

As does mine, but do turn into a bat. I would like to see it even if it outside the current plan for activities.

[ there's a little laugh at that, and to be honest he has been enjoying being a bat. And since he's asking, he'll turn at that, flying over to perch on his shoulder immediately after. When he speaks, Emet will hear his voice directly in his head ]

If you just wanted to see it you should have asked before.

Oh, that is delightful. Hearing your voice like that. And truthfully, it just came to mind.
