It truly is. The rest is helpful but it is your presence that I find most calming.

Then I apologize that duty takes me away from time to time. But what should I do if this lingers more than a few days? I haven't thought that far ahead.

And for the immediate moment, would adoration a little more active help?

Do not apologize. Just knowing you are nearby is comforting enough. If it lingers... I do not know. I haven't given it consideration.

If you wish to distract me I would not say no to your attention.

And here we just discussed why dreams aren't a good idea. Still I am tempted to suggest them anyway.

[He rakes his fingers lightly through Emet's hair, scratching his scalp.]

Not tonight.

[He's very soft towards him as he pets him, kisses him, adores him. Not necessarily gentle but definitely not rough as he tries to provide distraction and a promise that he will always be with him.

And of course to tire him out and leave pleased endorphins in its wake.

And he cradles him when they are done, enveloping him is as much warmth and soft encouragement as he can.]

[He lets himself be pampered without being fussy about it, curling against Emet-Selch at the end and just accepting the comfort and warmth, soaking it up even. At least he will sleep exhausted and comfortable.]
