You once said you feared our eventual separation. I would go so far to say as I fear it as I do try to avoid fears in general, but the sentiment is the same. I will do all that I can to ensure after leaving this place that our paths will once again merge.

[ he can't deny that the fear is still there, no matter how many plans and projects he starts. At this point especially he knows it would absolutely break his heart to be separated, and though he already knew, Emet saying it's the same for him does make him smile a little.

He hums at that, a noncommittal noise as he gathers his thoughts, trying to think of how to best respond to it ]

I know you will. Lahabrea too. And there's no one I would trust more in helping me find my way back to you more than you two.

The idea we might go our separate ways is still terrifying, I won't say I've discarded that worry. But planning for the future has become less scary, and I know I want you to be a part of it.

Should we really end up parting ways, I will not rest until I've found my way back to you.

[That was really sweet and adorable up until the last part. He sits up and puts a hand on his shoulder.]

The point is to live your life, Five. Dabble in joining or worlds as much as you like, but I will not have you consumed by work. The point is to be with your family, to learn, to grow, to cherish. You are too much like Lahabrea, and I can see you easily being consumed by your passions of reuniting.

And please give us nigh immortals a chance to prove our worth. We'll come to you.

But fine. In that case I will be waiting for you instead, and if you end up taking your sweet time and not be there before the rest of my family dies as sweet, senile old men and women in their bed, I'll take matters into my own hands.

Well, I wouldn't want to run afoul with the task Lahabrea has given you or worry the old man too much. And I suppose some rest is warranted.

[He does get off his lap again, but only to pillow his head in the sand within Five's shadow, making Five a nice blockage between him and the direct sun.]
