I'd chide you for being cocky but unfortunately, you're right. I'm completely infatuated and I'd find you charming under all circumstances.

Though maybe there are things that would upset me still. If you offered me tea, for example.

Or terrible coffee. Either would be giving Mr. Pennycrumb my spot on the bed.

But perhaps if I behave myself, I could earn the chance of you singing again.

[ he leans in to kiss his cheek ]

But I could consider a second performance if it'd help you with the sounds.

[He tuts.]

But you’ve let my mind run wild with possibilities. You can hardly take that away.

[He smiles at the kiss. Endeared as always.]

Though, more seriously, it did help tremendously. All the rest faded into the background and I could focus on just that.

I'm glad it did. To be honest I got the idea from you. Since you're always keeping flowers for me.

I don’t think I realized it had as much of an effect until your ideal illusion, but ever am I glad it eased at least somewhat.

[He squeezes him just slightly.]

Time will heal both of our wounds especially if we are so considerate to fill the space with good memories, smells, and sounds.

Well, that is the point of marriage, isn't it. Besides. I'm finding that I enjoy being able to take care of you.

I thought the point of marriage was to parade you partner to make other jealous, complain loudly for the other to shut the curtains when the dawn comes too soon, and perhaps have breakfast in bed from time to time. Have I been wrong all this time?

Though speaking of breakfast, I believe the chef should return to his kitchen or I might be tempted to hold you right here in my lap until it burns. The price you have to pay for being as charming as you are.

And it's almost ready, so. You'll just need to be patient for a little more.

How could I be possibly feeling worse? There is an uplifting charisma simply being in your presence. Being dotted over only raises those heights to almost euphoric. I am not so self deprecating that I believe I am undeserving of love, but it does feel as if I'm getting the whole inn when a single room would do.

[He drums his fingers against the counter as he departs.]

I am feeling a bit impatient mostly likely do the fact that I have been rather immobile of late.

Have you considered that perhaps you deserve the entire inn?
