Eventually. I am kind of tired. [ he does at least make an attempt, shutting his eyes and listening to the steady beating of emet's hard, which does inevitably lull him to sleep. ]
[He carries around sleep potions, but it doesn't seem like he needs to use them.
And once he's asleep, he scoops Childe from whatever dream he has and drops him here. No land in sight, but he can stand or sit or swim in the water at what ever level he so desires at any given moment.
Emet, for his part, is sitting in the water nearly waist deep, leaning back and looking up.]
[ he is a little confused to start... but as soon as he sees emet he'll wander over and take a seat in his lap, which means the water is probably up to his own chest. ] What are you looking at? ...the stars?
[He lifts his hand and snaps his fingers. Up in the sky along with the stars is another set of 'stars' though it weaves more like a river in the sky. At first it looks like countless dots of twinkling, white lights, but if he looks closely each one has its own unique color and hue.]
[ childe sinks a bit lower into the water, so he can more comfortably rest against emet. he looks up and watches as the starry skyscape changes, revealing that all those twinkling dots are souls. ] Who do they belong to, ..?
Is there a reason he can't see them? [ he turns his attention from the souls to emet, watching him watch the stream of them overhead. ] Does it comfort you?
It does. Being able to see it in such brilliance. Does the subtle sound of waves or the creaking of melting ice not give you the same sense of comfort?
...oh. [ reaches back and tugs him down for a proper kiss. ] It does. It's part of the reason I enjoy ice fishing... something I hope you'll join me in doing sometime. [ or again, pulse can't remember. ]
Re: Day 411, night-er
[He tilts his head to kiss him properly.]
Dream with me then. Of a starlight sky in the water.
Re: Day 411, night-er
[ shuts his eyes. ] Oh? Trying to cater to us both?
Re: Day 411, night-er
Will you be able to fall asleep?

And the souls. Would you like to see it?

[He laces his fingers over his Childe's stomach.]
Not everyone can see them. Cosmo cannot for example. But in my youth I spent many nights simply watching them.
