[He sits next to him and brushes a hand across one of his new tails.]

I thought you were an audition… but just because you spoil yourself doesn’t mean I can’t spoil you sometimes too. [ takes his phone back and fluffs up, engulfing emet in all his tails. ] I do, actually.

I am an audition, but I haven't been home in a long, long time. In this way I get to remember it in further clarity.

[He laughs tugging him into his lap and reaching over near the coffee table. He isn't the only one with tails that visits. He affixes a brightly colored bow on the end of one of them.]

…mm, that’s true. [ he hasn’t seen his family in some time, but that’s also not something he’d do in public; replay a real personal memory. ]

What are y- Emet! [ bristles! ] Aren’t I pretty enough? [ pouts up at him. ]

[Sad home movies. BARiTONES probably just ignores them now if they show up on his phone. Luckily, he usually pays for the private option.]

[He rubs his nose against his cheek delighted at the pout.]

If you keep that up you’re going to make me blush. [ loops his arms around emet’s neck and turns his head to peck his nose. ]

[ getting praise from people he not only likes, but also respects is euphoric, and it’ll never not come as a pleasant surprise. ] Maybe I just like hearing you shower me in compliments. Don’t stop. [ there is a light dusting of color on his cheeks as he kisses him again, this time much harder as there are a number of feelings behind it. ]

[He barely brushes his thumb across the blush once before Caeli's lips are on his.]

I know Five has mentioned it, but I have not felt so carefree in, well, as long as I remember. And I do have you to thank for that. You love living and take no compromise. It is a little infectious.

[ how dare you come for his life like that!!! ]

[ his blush darkens, spreading up to the tips of his ears, but he’s all smiles - looking nothing short of thrilled. ] I’m glad to hear that. [ combs his fingers through emet’s hair, ] You’ve already been through so much, more than I can imagine, really, so I’m glad I could help. You mean a lot to me.

Oh, do not think much of the troubles of this old man. This place is a vacation for me.

[He absolutely looks smug and is enjoying not only the pets, but the blush on his face.]

To think this all came about due to your poor chopstick skills. I did hear the tale. I daresay you must remain a novice at them for prosperity.

Lu~cky you, Emet-Selch. It's no vacation for me... I need to get back to Her Majesty sooner rather later. I can only imagine what's going on in Teyvat with some of its most important people dicking around here.

[ takes out his phone to show him a picture of the dragon/phoenix chopsticks. ] Look at these things! and he even bought them with his own money this time around.

She might be having an easier time of it, if so many players are here. Though missing two of her highest rank might make it more difficult.

[He leans his head on his shoulder as he is shown the photo, incredibly fond. Such moments as these are what he treasures most. Content domesticity.]

[And he only laughs lightly for the nail digging.]

...mm, but, like you said, there's still a number of us back home, so maybe everything's still going according to plan. [ shrugs. he'll deal with that as soon as he's sent back home. see how 'on fire' the world is by that point. ]

And this is why I can't continue to just outright suck with them. If anything I need to practice more.

When you return and are able to write, I would like to know the details on how well it is going.

I doubt he could at this point, boastful as it might be. Plus I imagine the urge to impress him might accelerate the learning process.

But where are my manners? You did have a recent terrible time, did you not? I imagine you'd enjoy some pampering.

[He picks him up, fluffy tails and all and heads into the washroom setting up a nice warm bath before setting him down near the edge of the tub.]

If you wouldn't mind getting undressed. In my countless lives, I've had a tail once or twice. The dirt and grime it could pick up. Though a pity you can't call a live for this to get yourself some points for 'grooming'. Dorms aside, I'd rather keep this moment for ourselves.

…you deserve it too, I hope you know. Maybe I can fuss over the both of you sometime. Kill two birds with one stone and cook for you too, so I can show off my incredible chopstick prowess.

Scaramouche is getting used to his abilities, so it had its problems… and obviously the train didn’t help. I look forward to fighting him again, hopefully with two less casualties.

Emet-Selch with a tail. [ starts peeling away his clothes. ] Now I’m curious. I hope you don’t mind if I bring an AlcheME! potion sometime. [ sets his clothes aside once he’s stripped completely. ] I don’t mind the occasional grooming Live for small things here and there, but I don’t want just anybody touching me… [ throws his arms around his neck and tugs him down so they’re nose to nose. ] Just you right now.

Oh, I pamper myself. Do not worry. But the thought is appreciated. Though I would never say no to a home cooked meal. 'Twas never my strength, and Five has yet the time and opportunity to learn.

[He does smile and kiss him softly.]

Did I not tell you? Of all the forms I've taken. While we do not have those with fox attributes on those broken shards, cat tails and rabbit ears would not go amiss. Though either of those would bristle at such words. Those I suppose there are the beastmen. Wolves would be the closest.

But yes, I do like to spoil you and you alone. Though I afraid it will be a bit difficult this close.
