They could. They could not. The ability bestowed upon by graduation is an unknown. It's limits. It's reach. It certainly is a possibility.
I would focus on that. I want you to live without regrets and not rush into this. Observe. Remember. Reflect. Who do you want to be? And it will take some time.
... Mm. But this is not a good place for such things...
[He's quiet for a little while before looking up at Emet.]
In truth... I would like to learn more about how the wishes are granted. What gives the Producers such vast power. What the true price for it is. If we could control it for ourselves instead of having our wishes granted... that would be a much more certain way, wouldn't it?
Understanding the process and its limitations would be beneficial. But I would caution you. Those that run the Production are hardly benevolent. Though we know not the reason, our time here serves some purpose. Of that I have no doubt.
And do be careful of the delicate balance. While it is unfortunate that those are brought here without their memories, the auditions come with a purpose. And just as I am given a chance to fill my heart's desire, I would wish the opportunity for others. I would give them hope as well.
Certainly. But must that hope be won through such pointlessly cruel measures like the games? You know better than anyone that form and true essence are very different things. By all accounts, there are plenty of other shows that are not nearly as violent as this one.
My guess would be that the continuous generation of emotions is at least one of the Producers' goals. And... Glory had an interesting observation that perhaps our memories are taken from us for a reason - part of the price, perhaps? I'm curious whether that's a byproduct of the whole business of bringing us here, or intentional.
Oh I have no doubts that the recycling of memories, souls, death, and torment fuels them in some way or another. I simply do not understand how. But these games and our presence to be able to bond together as units against Hell's influence does serve them in some manner.
I am simply giving a word of caution. This place does serve a purpose for at least auditions. And it is one I would not tamper with without exceeding caution.
Ah, worry not. Tampering with it would require being in a position of power to do so - that is, becoming a demon, and that's not something I can do. No, it's knowledge I'm after - and with enough knowledge, would it not be possible to change this system? It's also a curious thought that they focus so much on... well, negative emotions. Perhaps simply because it's easier to orchestrate?
Re: 378?
[HE IS, THOUGH. That's so much better than murders and stuff?]
And you were the one who said we would need all three of our wishes to make certain we get our world back, yes?
Re: 378?
But what do you want, Hythlodaeus? Before you is endless possibilities.
Re: 378?
[Also oh no, the hard questions. He looks down at the sand, trailing his fingers through it aimlessly.]
In truth... I've no idea. I do not know enough yet to figure out what I want.

Re: 378?
[He shrugs.]
I know there are many curious to learn more. Perhaps one day we will find the opportunity.

[Mostly teasing!]
