[He lets the coffee do its thing and comes around to wrap his arms around Five's waist. There is a bit of a pause before he speaks.]

Are you alright?

[ there is a pause of his own at the question, because after all, he doesn't want to lie to emet.

He'll bring a hand to his face and then sigh ]

But I'm with you and that's enough.

[He kisses his hair.]

As if I did not just share my greatest despair with you. You are the first. Such details I have not even shared with Lahabrea. But I aught to.

[He says gently trying not to be accusatory. More getting the feel of the weight of it.]

Admittedly I don't think I ever fully grasped how horrifying this experience must have been for you. So despite circumstances, and as much as I hate that you had to relieve it - I'm glad to be able to understand better.

I suppose I shouldn't be surprised. I saw your worries, your fears, and nudged you through them when you would not have ventured on your own. You would want to do the same.

[He takes both of his hands, squeezing them.]

It's easier with you to share. Relatively, of course. But be careful not to burn yourself out as well.

[He gives his hand a final squeeze before he finished the coffee and bows with a flourish presenting it to him.]

I already know you've improved your skills but I do appreciate the presentation.

[He sets breakfast down and sits next to him. He'd sit in his lap, but that would make it difficult for Five to eat.]

And perhaps after we can head to a place with a little more noise, chatter, and life.

[ he'll lean in to kiss his cheek before he drinks his coffee, humming in appreciation before he answers him ]

That would be nice. I think right now both of us might benefit from that, considering.

You did mention it helped and you seem full of terribly good advice. Not a trait I would have picked out when I first met you.

Thought truly for the time being anywhere near you would be the ideal.

[ he'll take another sip and then decide he'll be the one to sit on Emet's lap, so he'll grab his mug a bit more carefully and then move onto him ]

[He can't help but smile, wrapping his arms around him, and kissing the top of his head.]

It does seem as if it finally came to fruition. Though that gamble definitely paid off a while ago.

I'm quite certain I would be unable even if I tried. So do cross that off your list of worries.

Good. That does include dying so keep in mind you're not going to be the only one going on a quest to retrieve a soul.

I would request that one day you tell me how I was so completely able to charm you. Would be a fine tool to have if I ever need to build an empire again.

[ he laughs at that, genuinely amused by the question ]

Oh you know. By promising me a life free of solitude and following through with that? I think it's going to be a bit difficult to replicate on a large scale.

I'd wager finding a group of apocalypse survivors would be an easier task.

[He doesn't really finish eating because he's not hungry, and he'd rather hold Five. But he does take a sip of Five's coffee.]

And save for a few, I'd rather not share my time.

[ he will let him take the coffee, but will reach for food since emet was nice enough to prepare it ]

One of my goals is to give you so much attention you want time to yourself.

[He's just going to be a good chair and a useless weight curled over him. At least he gives him some room to eat around him.]
