[ The good thing about all that is that it allows him to focus on Emet rather than himself. He's definitely not even close to sleepy right now, and even if he were he wouldn't want to even attempt it. But for him, at least, it really was just a bad dream.

I do need to get an upgrade for it, but yes. It will be enough for the two of us for now.

[ he's getting another kiss to his cheek, and then he pull back but offers his hand to emet immediately ]

[He takes it and pulls himself off the bed.]

[A little late. He leans down to kiss his cheek in return.]

I get my doubts from time to time as well, so. I felt like I should tell you as many times as possible.

We still find our own two feet, time and time again.

[The hair washing is mindless and he greatly enjoys the distraction. He will be careful to not get anything in his eyes as he rinses it out.]

I imagine I will be beside myself if I sit still for a while so we might as well not let that breakfast go to waste.

Well, that was part of why I asked you to come over, so we might as well. But I'll help you with it.

[Dressing simply and taking his hand as they go to prepare the ingredients. Pancakes, eggs, bacon! Well, and fresh fruit. He figures he might have missed such things from the apocalypse.

Oh, and good coffee. He did bring a coffee grinder from his coffee room in BARiTONES.]

Being used for my cooking skills. I will need to get better at them. If you would handle the knife work, I will work on the coffee. The most crucial part.

[ he definitely did but unfortunately it's the coffee that is going to get the most appreciation. He hums at the commentary but he does as instructed, taking a knife before getting to work ]

[ He didn't intend that to have quite that effect, but it's sweet in its own right, and he seems to just beam at the kiss, enjoying the affection as he always does ]

I'll go easy on you then. And spare you any comments about how mundane domesticity with you feels good.

[He squeezes his hand before he returns to the coffee and the little instruction card he brought. Look, he's trying.]

But planning curtains or your bathroom upgrade would be acceptable.

[ he's so endeared by that and he can't help but smile ]

Oh, I wasn't aware that my curtains needed to be improved on. Let's hear your ideas.

For one, they do not block out nearly enough light when I am around. How am I to lounge in bed with you well into the noon hour when sunrays are shining in my face?

[He means none of this as he starts to measure.]

Though you are rather pale so you do need the sun. Perhaps an automatic curtain that could raise up.

It's certainly not the sunlight in the morning that's going to make me less pale. But I'll consider automatic curtains that cover the room completely. I don't imagine Vergil would complain.

It was mostly in jest. I'd rather have a tub I could fall asleep in.

[He lets the coffee do its thing and comes around to wrap his arms around Five's waist. There is a bit of a pause before he speaks.]

[ there is a pause of his own at the question, because after all, he doesn't want to lie to emet.

Admittedly I don't think I ever fully grasped how horrifying this experience must have been for you. So despite circumstances, and as much as I hate that you had to relieve it - I'm glad to be able to understand better.
