I was planning on letting you choose that, actually, since I picked the flowers. And I'd like for this to be a thing we decide together every step of the way, silly as it is.
Then go get the tools required, and I shall find the appropriate spot.
[And he does, after a squeeze, slip his hand from Five's and wanders into the lawn area. The spot he does choose to start is one around the fringes that would appear to an equal amount of sun and shade throughout a day's cycle.]
[ that is very cute, and he seems pretty pleased with it, even if he's having to do physical work!! But here he is, making the first dig so they can plant flowers. He will try to put Emet to work shortly after, however, as part of the reason they're doing this is to give him a nice distraction. He won't even make it subtle, with how much he's clearly paying attention to him to make sure he's fine ]
[Just the start! And he will take a commemorate photo of both of them with a mental note to send it to Wildfire. He will wait until after they are done to address the issue, but after they've backed down the earth he'll draw an arcane circular symbol around the seeds just because he likes to show off.
And he will speak as he's drawing.]
It is not affecting me in the waking world. You can stop hovering.
Oh how terrible for us to go to sleep to a proper time. I'm sure Lahabrea and I can make due by working and studying in our dreams again for a time. If anything it's an opportunity.
[ he's clearly thinking about it, not because he's worried for himself, but because he's worried it will be a bad experience for Emet. But he figures it's an effective way to help Emet regain control - maybe he won't be able to influence his dreams, but he can bring him back to reality ]
I still feel uncomfortable for a bit afterwards, but it's not as strong as it used to be. I feared the more I'd take them the worse it would have gotten, but actually changing my body in other forms more often has made the issue better, not worse.
Being in a thirteen year old body is starting to feel temporary, which makes it feel less oppressive. I still feel like I'm out of place in my own skin, but it doesn't feel like I'm stuck like this forever.
Re: Day 378
Because part of their soul was once your dear friend's? You know this is a step up from not considering shards alive at all.

[ he kisses the tip of his nose before getting up and offering him his hand ]
A peaceful option wasn't possible before, so. It makes sense you didn't have the luxury of feeling for any of the shards.
Re: Day 378
I can only blame Cardinal and others then for showing me that perhaps those of a limited lifespan are worth anything.
You don’t count by the way. Immortal as we suspect you are.
Re: Day 378
[ he won't let his hand go, and instead, he brings it to his lips for a kiss ]
And if it ultimately makes things easier on you, then I'm only happy to see you grow.
Re: Day 378
[He blushes and tries to hide it with a wave of his hand towards the scenery.]
We were to plant flowers, correct?
Re: Day 378
Re: Day 378
If this place soothes you as much as you say, then how could I refuse the smile it would bring to your face? And inevitably to mine.
[He tugs them through their joined hands.]
Did you have a specific spot in mind?

Re: Day 378
This one should be perfect.
Re: Day 378
[And he'll take out his phone because apparently scrapbooking is a thing they now do.]

Re: Day 378
— I'm not hovering.
Re: Day 378
[He pushes up on his knees to stand.]
I appreciate the concern, I truly do, but honestly I'm more concerned with the fact that I'm tying you both to a more regular bed time.
Re: Day 378
You don't have to worry about it.
Re: Day 378
Though would you be willing to venture into dreams without the old man from time to time, knowing the risk?
Re: Day 378

Of course. As many times as it takes.
Re: Day 378
[He takes his hand again letting his fingers run across the back of it probably smearing dirt.]
But don't think it is all about practicing control. I enjoy our private time together.
Re: Day 378
I assumed I would just have to take more potions but I'm not opposed to keeping up with our dream encounters.
Re: Day 378
Come let's clean up.
[He takes him by the hand back to his room.]
Are the potions not affecting you as strongly as before? Feeling out of place in your own skin.

[ he'll squeeze his hand ]
Though I'd still prefer not to overdo it.
