The dorms themselves block the Producers from viewing. Thus if we are unable to utilize dreams for memories inside the dorms it is hard to say if it is from dreams itself or the building.

I've always found it a little strange that the dorms supposedly provide us with protection from being spied on. Does it not sound too good to be true?

It does, but the theory has yet to be disproven. So I suppose we will take it as we will.
